Hyatt Globalist Status

Hyatt Globalist Status is, in my opinion, one of the most coveted loyalty statuses in the hospitality industry. It provides numerous perks and benefits to its members, making it an attractive option for frequent travelers. In this article, we’ll explore how to earn Globalist Status and what perks it offers.

Earning Hyatt Globalist Status

There are two main ways to earn Globalist Status:

Nights: You can earn Globalist Status by staying a certain number of nights at Hyatt hotels. You need to complete 60 eligible nights in a calendar year to earn Globalist Status. However, if you are a World of Hyatt Credit Cardholder, you get 5 credit nights towards the 60. The best option is if you have the World of Hyatt Business credit card. This allows you to earn 5 credit nights for each $10,000 that you spend, which will help you get to Globalist status even faster.

Base Points: You can also earn Globalist Status by earning a certain number of base points. You need to earn 100,000 base points in a calendar year to earn Globalist Status.

Perks and Benefits of Hyatt Globalist Status

Hyatt Globalist Status provides numerous benefits and perks to its members. Here are some of the most notable ones:

Upgrades: Globalist members receive complimentary room upgrades based on availability at check-in. They also receive access to Club lounges and suites at certain properties.

Free Breakfast: Globalist members receive free breakfast for themselves and a guest at Hyatt hotels.

Late Check-Out: Globalist members receive a guaranteed 4 pm late check-out, subject to availability.

Bonus Points: Globalist members receive a 30% bonus on the base points they earn during their stay.

Welcome Amenity: Globalist members receive a welcome amenity of their choice, including points, food, or beverages.

Parking: Globalist members receive free parking at Hyatt hotels.

Spa and Fitness: Globalist members receive complimentary access to spa and fitness facilities at Hyatt hotels.

In addition to the primary ways of earning Globalist Status, there are also milestone benefits for every 10 qualifying nights stayed at Hyatt properties during the calendar year. Here are the milestone benefits:

10 Qualifying Nights: Discoverist – 10% point bonus on qualifying spend, preferred rooms within type booked (based on availability), complimentary premium internet (where available), late checkout (subject to availability at some locations).

20 Qualifying Nights: Members will receive two Club Lounge Access Awards.

30 Qualifying Nights: Globalist Status – In addition to the benefits of Explorist Status, members will receive two Club Lounge Access Awards, two suite upgrade awards, and a free night award redeemable at a Category 1-4 hotel or resort. You will also get a 20% point bonus on qualifying spend, room upgrades (excluding suites and rooms with Club access), complimentary premium internet, and late checkout.

40 Qualifying Nights: Your choice of 5,000 points or a $100 Hyatt gift card.

50 Qualifying Nights: Two suite upgrade awards. Pair these with club access and your free night award for the best experience.

60 Qualifying Nights: Globalist Status – 30% point bonus on qualifying spend, Club lounge access including free breakfast, complimentary premium internet, late checkout (4 pm checkouts), free night (Category 1-7), two suite upgrade awards, and access to My Hyatt Concierge agent.

These milestone benefits provide added value for frequent Hyatt guests and can be a significant incentive to continue staying at Hyatt properties. Whether you are aiming to achieve Globalist Status or just looking to take advantage of the benefits offered by Explorist Status, these milestones are a great way to earn extra rewards for your loyalty.

On top of all these benefits, my favorite one is taking advantage of the Hyatt Regency Hotels. Hyatt Regency hotels have Regency clubs, which are like nice airport lounges within the hotel. With your Hyatt Globalist status, you get free access to the Regency clubs, which means free breakfast every morning, snacks and coffee during the day, and free dinner and alcohol at night. The Regency clubs are also usually located on one of the top floors, leading to beautiful views of the area. With Regency clubs, you can make your stay cost $0 because you’re paying for your hotel with points and then getting all your meals free because of the Globalist status. I have used this perk for free stays in Colombia, the UAE, and Turkey.

In conclusion, earning Hyatt Globalist Status provides a host of benefits and perks to its members, making it my favorite hotel status out there. Whether you earn it through nights or base points, the benefits of Globalist Status can significantly enhance your travel experience.
