Imagine a destination where towering mountains kiss the sky, vibrant cultures welcome you like family, and centuries of history unfold at every step. That’s Pakistan—one of the most breathtaking and underrated destinations on Earth.
After two trips, Pakistan has become my favorite country in the world, this country will blow your expectations out of the water.
Pakistan is a trekking mecca, with the 3 highest mountain ranges in the world. It has unbelievable blue lakes and beautiful untouched nature. It’s home to some of the most flavorful and best food I’ve eaten after traveling to over 40 countries. You will not find a country with more friendly and hospitable people. For most people, going to Pakistan will get you out of your comfort zone, and the hospitality of the locals will instantly make you forget your worries and feel welcomed into this underrated country.
I have partnered up with Ready for Road Adventures, which has been operating in Pakistan since 2016! They strive to provide an all-inclusive, immersive cultural experience of the country whilst also witnessing one of the most beautiful places on earth and making close friends for life along the way!
A deposit of 600$ is required to confirm your spot on the trip. This deposit is non-refundable.
You will be required to pay the rest of the remaining balance 2 months before the start of the trip.
If want to learn new things and step out of your comfort zone. You enjoy hiking or are ready to give it a go as a lot of the trip includes hiking and being out in nature. You’re a team player and understand that plans sometimes change.
Yes! Very safe. We have had women on all previous tours. You will need to wear a head scarf in mosques and dress conservatively.
It will be a mix of Hotels, huts, homestays, and camping. You will be expected to share a room with a fellow traveler.
If you want to have single accommodation, you can also pay an extra $360 and select the option at checkout to add it.
Pakistani cuisine is my favorite in the world, with diverse influences from South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, it’s one of the world’s most flavorful cuisines. From the smoky richness of karahi and tender nihari to the fragrant layers of biryani and the buttery perfection of freshly baked naan, every dish is a masterpiece. Meat lovers will be in heaven with kebabs and slow-cooked stews, while vegetarians can enjoy tangy lentil curries and spiced vegetables. The experience is always paired with unmatched hospitality that makes every meal feel special.
The maximum amount of people is 16 for the trip. This ensures ease of movement and safety. This also allows us to bond more in a family-like environment.
Arrive in Lahore by noon to immerse yourself in the vibrant soul of Pakistan. Known as the cultural capital of the country, Lahore is a city steeped in history and bursting with life. Wander through the bustling bazaars where vibrant fabrics, intricate jewelry, and aromatic spices create a sensory overload. Did you know Lahore is home to the oldest food street in the country, Gawalmandi?
As the evening falls, step into a hidden underground bar, a surprising slice of modern Lahore. Sip on local beverages, share stories with fellow travelers and set the tone for the exciting days ahead.
Begin your day with a hearty Pakistani breakfast of halwa puri and chai. Then, dive into the city’s rich heritage with a visit to Lahore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the Mughal era. Marvel at the intricate marble work and frescoes that narrate centuries of history.
Next, visit the Badshahi Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, standing as a symbol of Mughal architectural brilliance. Enjoy a rooftop lunch at Haveli Restaurant, where the majestic view of the mosque adds a magical touch to every bite.
In the evening, head to the Wagah Border to witness the patriotic flag-lowering ceremony. Fun fact: This border, shared with India, is one of the most vibrant crossings in the world!
Travel to Islamabad, Pakistan’s serene and modern capital city. Start with a hike in the Margalla Hills, part of the Himalayan foothills, where you’ll be greeted by stunning vistas and chirping birds. Visit the Faisal Mosque, an architectural marvel combining contemporary and traditional Islamic design, and the iconic Pakistan Monument, symbolizing national unity.
A trip to Pakistan isn’t complete without a few long drives, so on this day we will be spending most of it in the car on our journey up to the north. The bus journey’s become a fun part of the trip for bonding, listening to music, and getting to know each other.
Post-lunch, embark on a scenic journey north through the Karakoram Highway (often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”) to reach the enchanting Northern Areas. Along the way, pass through the verdant Naran Valley and cross the dramatic Babusar Top, one of Pakistan’s highest road passes at over 13,000 feet.
From Raikot Bridge, board rugged jeeps for a thrilling ride to the Fairy Meadows trailhead. The jeeps will take us along what’s claimed to be the world’s most treacherous road.
There’s nothing to worry about, as we have the best drivers who have taken on this road hundreds of times.
Then we will walk for 2 hours to Fairy Meadows, where we’ll spend the night around a fire and sleeping in traditional log cabins.
Fairy Meadows, named for its insane beauty, is a grassy plateau offering jaw-dropping views of Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain in the world. We will stay at the Greenland Resort.
This is my favorite place I have been in my 40+ countries visited and in my opinion is the most beautiful place on earth.
Enjoy waking up in mountain paradise before heading to the renowned Beyal Camp, a haven for trekkers venturing to conquer Nanga Parbat. From here you the group with have the option to stay at the Beyal camp hut and take in the views from the camp, or continue on the trek to Nanga Parbat base camp which is another 2 hours and a bit steeper. Then we will head back for a delicious lunch of local cuisine ahead of gathering around the campfire to stay warm and tuck into our log cabins for the night!
A sad goodbye, as we make our way down from Fairy Meadows in our jeeps and travel onwards towards Naltar Valley. We will enjoy traditional Pakistani BBQ ahead of going off-road again to reach the remote Naltar. You will rarely meet travelers here and it’s a well-hidden gem most never get the chance to explore. Here we will enjoy the night sky free of light pollution, clear views of the Milky Way, and gathered around a fire.
We depart on our off-road vehicle to explore the majestic Naltar Lakes. The turquoise waters of the lakes shimmer under the sun, contrasting with the lush greenery that blankets the valley. Behold also Emerald Green Lakes and wide expansive sweeping valleys. This is often truly a highlight for people given how remote and unique these Lakes are. Take a dip in the water if you are feeling brave enough but be warned, these glacial waters are VERY cold! After Trekking these lakes, we make our way to civilization again as we travel onwards to Karimabad.
Discover the hidden treasures of Karimabad, a charming town nestled in the picturesque Hunza Valley. As you stroll through the vibrant Karimabad Bazaar, the scent of spices fills the air, and the lively sounds of locals bargaining and exchanging stories create a symphony of bustling activity. Immerse yourself in colorful handicrafts, tantalizing local cuisine and traditional artwork. Snap up precious Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds, all mined locally. After lunch, we trek up to Eagles Nest to take in the view of Hunza Valley. The night we host a Yak (and veggie) BBQ, where you will have the chance to try local moonshine and hear traditional music played on the Rabab.
After a restful morning, we will make our way to the cerulean blue lake of Attabad, actually formed from a devastating landslide, it’s not a massive attraction in the area. Enjoy a boat ride across Attabad Lake before immersing yourself in the warm hospitality of Gulkin, a small village in the heart of the Hunza Valley, as you experience a local homestay. The village welcomes you with open arms, offering a glimpse into the local way of life. Here we will live in a farmhouse with a family we are very close with.
Prepare to be enchanted by the mesmerizing Ghulkin Black Glacier, a true marvel of nature. As you trek carefully across this stunning natural wonder by foot, you are greeted by an otherworldly sight. Afterward, we trek onwards to visit the serene Borith Lake, a tranquil oasis nestled amidst the mountains. Its still waters reflect the towering peaks, creating a mirror-like surface that mesmerizes the beholder. Here we enjoy a chai and a dip to cool off!
Before the sun begins to bare down for the day we make our way to the start point of Baskochi Trek, a lesser-known trek that you rarely, if ever, find people along the way. A true hidden gem. Here you get iconic views over Attabad Lake and Ghulkin Valley Cross the iconic Passu Bridge, a magnificent suspension bridge that stands as a symbol of engineering marvel in the Gojal Valley. As you step onto the bridge, feel the thrill of adventure course through your veins. This bridge runs almost 300 meters long and requires your full attention.
