Caribeans Coffee and Chocolate is the perfect spot for coffee connoisseurs and chocolate lovers. Here you can sample some of the best organic coffee and chocolate in the area. I had the best chocolate milk of my life here. Make sure to try the amazing banana chocolate muffin. They also have incredible breakfast here with sausage, egg, hashbrown and cheese breakfast burritos which are a must try.

Como en Mi Casa – Art Cafe is a charming café with a cozy atmosphere, serving up healthy and delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Try their smoothie bowls, fresh juices, or healthy gluten free pancakes. They even have real maple syrup which surprised me.

Soul Surfer Restaurant in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica- known for its variety of amazing burgers. With unique options like the Soul Surfer Burger, Veggie Burger, Caribbean Burger, and Pura Vida Burger, this restaurant is a must-visit for burger lovers. In addition to burgers, Soul Surfer Restaurant serves up fresh seafood, salads, sandwiches, and a great selection of cocktails, beers, and smoothies. The casual and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Soul Surfer Restaurant a local favorite. I got the The Soul Surfer Burger a classic beef patty topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and their signature Soul Surfer sauce.

Antojitos Mexicanos La Chilanga is a popular spot for authentic Mexican food, including tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Don’t miss their homemade salsa and guacamole. This place is the best mexican food I’ve had in my life. From their birria tacos de res to their nachos to their sopa azteca. This place always keeps me coming back for the best birria tacos ever.

El Rincon Porteno is the place to go for traditional Argentinean-style grilled meats. Be sure to try their signature dish, the Churrasco steak. The steak here is incredible and I returned multiple times during my stay. Make sure to also try their double decker bacon cheeseburger which will most likely be the biggest burger you have eaten.

Taylor’s Spoon is a unique restaurant, offering a fusion of Caribbean and Asian flavors. Their menu includes fresh seafood dishes, stir-fries, and curries. This is one of the few spots actually owned by locals and the cooking is truly mama’s cooking. I tried the steak and also the fish in curry sauce and both were spectacular. They also serve up an amazing jamaica juice and the patacones are incredibly well cooked.

Gypsea Cafe is known for its delicious breakfast and brunch options, including their chorizo and yuca fries eggs benedict. Don’t miss their smooth and creamy lattes. They also have some spectacular avocado toasts and acai bowls. Also be sure to try one of their many smoothies or healthy juices.

La Leyenda de l’Antico Forno is the perfect spot for pizza lovers.This is the best pizza I’ve had in Costa Rica and their 4 meat pizzas are to die for. Their wood-fired pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.

Mista Cook is another standout, offering a fusion of Costa Rican and Mediterranean cuisine. Their dishes are made with fresh, local ingredients and are bursting with flavor. This is a local spot near manzanillo park with some amazing caribbean bbq and caribbean vibes and theme. Make to get some ribs and jerk chicken.

Todo es Posible, a community-driven restaurant with a rotating menu that features local and organic ingredients. Another great pizza joint with cheaper prices but great pizza. Also make sure to finish off your night with some incredible tres leches cake.
